The Diebel Family- Tim, Christine, Ryan and Rebecca bought the farm in 1994.
Tim was raised in a logging family and decided that he should grow Christmas trees to supply education and work for his
family. They began planting Christmas trees in 2001. They learned the trade from retiring Christmas tree growers about
planting, pruning, and care for the trees. Tim and Christine joined the Christmas Tree Growers association of Ontario and
have continued learning and networking with growers from across the province. This a family business where everyone is
involved in planting, spraying, pruning and harvesting of the trees. Tim and Christine have since developed a secondary
business of landscaping and spading trees for subdivisions in towns and on farms. The Diebel family now has over 22,000 deciduous and coniferous trees on the farm in various stages of growth.
Their busy time of year begins with harvesting their trees for Christmas sales and for the U-cut tree sales on their farm.
They begin in November when they cut, bale and deliver their trees to local businesses and begin to sell their fresh cut treesfrom the family farm. Families are invited to attend the Diebel farm and are provided with a hay wagon ride to the back of the farm where they can pick from over 3,000 full grown scotch pine, various spruce and Balsam fir trees to cut for their own family Christmas tree, for only $65 (incl.HST). If your family would like a walk through the rows of trees then a walk behind the barn would find a choice of over 19,000 Balsam Fir and White Spruce trees. The saws are provided to cut your trees. The Diebel’s look forward to seeing you at their family farm for a Christmas tree, for landscaping advice or for tree
information pertaining to trees you already have. We have years of experience and we always say if we can grow a tree on the farm then you can grow our tree anywhere in your town or your city.
